For the President position:
Parag Bhowmik
Hi all. I am Parag and I would like to be considered for the President position of Energy and environment club.
Prior to Carey, I worked as an in-house strategic planning Consultant for a mechanical engineering firm. I have 7 years of R&D experience in the field of Nanotechnology and Quantum Mechanics. Nanotechnology is extremely relevant in photovoltaic production which in turn is extremely important in Alternative energy and energy efficiency sectors. As a researcher, I helped writing several proposals that were funded. Government grants are extremely important for alternative energy and energy efficiency companies and I believe i can add value in the sector because of my experience.
As the VP-Consulting of EEC, I connected an entrepreneur of an Energy Efficiency company to our club and created internship positions in the same company for 1st year GMBA students of Carey. For my I4H project, I worked on an energy efficiency project and was the team leader. Our team did extremely well, given that, the client accepted all our suggestions and is currently implementing them.
As the President of the EEC club, my first priority would be to promote the club and generate more interest among the existing and incoming students about the club. I plan to give a short presentation to the incoming students to familiarize them with the energy sector and great opportunities that are available in this sector. I have watched Aaron and Annie closely and plan to build on the great work that the seniors have already put in. Thank you so much for taking the time to vote.
