Carey Photography Club
Welcome to the Carey Media Club.
Our club is about learning, using and appreciating digital mediums such as photography, videography and audio.
Originally started as the photography club, the Carey Media Club has grown to encompass most media fields such as video, photography and audio. While this club is non-professional in the sense that none of us are likely to start a photo studio, production studio or a recording label, this club will help your skills in capturing photos, videos and audio, teach how to use what you have, and increase your understanding of these artforms. Find out how you can create art! It is a great time to learn about digital media and how to create use it to create things. With digital sensors and mass production techniques, most of us can afford to delve into what were once cost-prohibitive artforms.
We encourage socializing and using the tools that we have. We will have several photowalks scheduled throughout the year. There is also a photo competition for the Global MBA class returning from Innovation for Humanity. As the charter class is nearing graduation, we also hope to put out a yearbook. There will also be presentations on what to buy in terms of photography equipment, photography basics, editting basics, and much more. So come and join us and celebrate the magic, no matter what equipment or camera you have.
